Biography

Zairyn is a Philippine-born, Western Australia based multi-talented music artist blessed with a powerful, unique, soulful voice with a vintage flair.
She fell in love with music at very young age when she first saw her Dad wow audiences with his live guitar and vocal performance of "Johnny B. Goode" on stage.
She would later perform internationally with him as a Duo and then as a Family Band, along with her brothers and Mom.
For many years, they lived and worked onboard luxury cruise ships based in the US, visiting The Bahamas, The Cayman and Caribbean Islands, Puerto Rico and many more, e ... ntertaining thousands of
guests weekly with their live music.
Zairyn said goodbye to her cruise ship Family Band in 2005. They continued on while she raised a family of her own and lived in Ireland, England, Macao and now Australia.
A debilitating ear problem prevented her from pursuing music again for years but when it miraculously disappeared, she slowly returned to singing with the encouragement of families and friends. In 1999, she was accepted to an artist residency program, there she regained confidence, explored her creativity and began working on her own semi-autobiographical original musical called "Destiny" but the 2020/2021 pandemic heartened her to work towards music advocacy instead. She collaborated and contributed her musical talents to local community groups, projects and events. Last year, she developed and launched a singing confidence music program called "Sing for a Friend Music Club" helping kids and adults overcome their fear of singing. She offered one on one singing workshop and facilitated the singing group activity for free. She also wrote, sang and released three timely singles with her WA Indie Band "Pisces and The Realists" and starred in an original community theatre musical "Nightingale", playing a demanding lead role. Her debut musical theatre performance was well received by audiences and theatre industry leaders.
