Biography

One of the most passionate acoustic piano players, composers, producers, and arrangers of his generation, Willard Levi Terrell (Levi) has the ability to entrance any audience to having the time of their lives. Whether Jazz, Gospel, Pop, R&B, Classic Rock, or Top 40s hits, Levi has a Silky way of transforming the notes into... life-enriching melodies! While a highly proficient executioner of various complicated pieces classical music, Levi finds a nuanced approach to melding amazing songs to outstanding sets. Arranging live performance for such Grammy award winning artist as Bobby Brown, Dave H ... ollister, Avant, Music Soulchild, as well as icons such as Stephanie Mills and Kelly Price.
Born in Washington, D.C. in 1979, Levi was raised in a musical family and began lesson with his mother at 6 years old. As a teenager, Levi was the Music Director for his grandfather’s church – one of the largest, and most predominant African-American churches in the District, and expanded the band from 5 to 15 musicians. Encouraged by his family to respond to the call to serve and travel, Levi served in the US military for 4 years where began to fulfill another passion, travel! Playing with musicians through Germany, South America(fill this in), Levi was able to take full advantage of the opportunity of learning from regional master musicians while they enabled him to discover his Silky approach to his true love – empowering people through the power of music.
In the Spring of 2015, Levi accepted the challenge to start a band of musicians from across the globe that he had yet to work with and be prepared to successfully perform at the world famous Grand Hyatt Hotel in Muscat Oman. Ever the consummate professional, Levi arose to the challenge and has fulfilled contracts with this brand in Malaysia, Dubai, and South Korea with exceptional reviews from guests, hotel management, as well as band members.
