“Sessoms shines on LIFE’s original “Dreaming Of A Boy”, a languid ballad about her son growing up, and her take on “See Line Woman” gives the song a modern bounce with saxophone contributed by Bowie sideman Donny McCaslin. LIFE II is the most successful of the two albums. “As” is a psychedelic journey, “I Can’t Breathe” (for Erica) a harrowing tribute to Erica and Eric Garner.”

Vivian recently stunned audiences with a 2 part album entitled LIFE, an epic collection of songs and lush arrangements recorded with partner and co producer Chris Parks, and features Keyon Harrold, Casey Benjamin, Donny McCaslin, Shedrick Mitchell, Amp Fiddler and Mark Whitfield.
