BORN TO PERFORM.
Hello, I am Vicus a professional and experienced international singer who has been dazzling crowds with my versatile and charismatic style for over two decades.
I sing in 6 different languages: English, German, French, Italian, Dutch, and Spanish. I have a varied repertoire that includes songs from pop, pop rock, RnB, reggae, powerful ballads and more ranging from the '60s till now.
I also write and compose my own songs and have recorded 3 CDs from which I perform songs when needed.
I love audience intera
... ction and always bring energy and enthusiasm to the stage. I have performed for diverse audiences of almost all languages from all over the world and all walks of life.
I started working on cruise ships since 2002 and have been a guest artist vocalist on MSC Cruises, Costa Cruises, Tallink Cruise ferries, and Crystal Cruises and River Ferries.
Prior to that, I sang in top hotels worldwide, such as Hotel Du Paris in Monte Carlo, where I perform occasionally.
I am not afraid of hard work and have no problem with authority. I am respectful to everyone and always receive standing ovations for my performances.
I am a singer-performer who captivates audiences worldwide with my talent and personality.

Biography
I'm UK citizen with Spanish residency who lives in Spain, South Africa or Italy at any given time. I was born in Johannesburg and music has been my first love ever since I can remember. As a child, I was fascinated by the traditional Zulu dancers who performed on our streets every Sunday afternoon. I would imitate them and make my own noise, which later turned into a smooth and charismatic voice. I also sang in church choirs and school bands and with the tuition of my Italian voice teacher Norma Biachi, I started my professional career as a singer.
My first band Shiraz was formed in 1984 a
... club band performing at various venues around greater Johannesburg. The song "Fighting for Our Lives " was recorded in 1984. The song addressed the HIV/Aids pandemic during that time.
In the late '80s, I formed a band called Walk This Way and recorded two albums. We became very popular and appeared on numerous TV shows. We also had the honour to be the opening act for Paul Simon during his Graceland tour of South Africa in front of 80,000. That was an unforgettable experience for me.
After that, I decided to explore new horizons and travelled abroad to perform for international audiences. I enjoyed enormous success and recognition in various countries and venues. I sang in top hotels worldwide, such as Hotel de Paris Bar American in Monte Carlo, where I am a regular performer for the past 10 years.
My performance on cruise ships started as a production singer and then as a guest singer since 2002.
In 2008, I signed a recording contract with the music label Bravo Montecarlo, based in Monaco Principality.
Under the name of Vick, I released three albums that showed the multiple aspects of my voice.
Available on Spotify:
• True Love from My Heart • Happy Mood • Respect Your Life
I am currently working on plans to record and release a CD in my native Afrikaans language.

Swinging from soul to pop to rock to jazz in all his performances VicK ensures to create a vibe second to none. Vick Vicus……BORN TO PERFORM.”
This is what an article that describes me perfectly written by a journalist.
I was born in a community where sing and dance was the norm so I guess that's where it
... all started. In a Johannesburg Township neighbourhoods in South Africa.
I must say I enjoy making people smile when they're in my stage presence….you forget the bills, the kids the troubles at work, the future, everything and for 45 min it's a journey and meditation into into song and dance and voice.
I almost always have one or two people cry at my shows and tell me afterwards how they were emotionally touched by my voice and interpretation of a song. It is humbling and a blessing.
I am a very positive human who loves to learn to read to eat and grow my own foods, I love children and have 4 of my own.
I have great respect for family values and my favourite hobby is learning new languages. I am busy learning Italian and already speak a little German and Spanish, I speak Afrikaans and of course English.
