1 x 60 minute set of Abba… This is a party set containing the best loved and most upbeat Abba hits to keep your audience on the dance floor from start to finish.
1 x 75 minute set of Abba… The same idea as the 60 minute set, but incorporating a couple of extra hits whilst sill keeping the dance floor going.
2 x 45 minute sets of Abba… For a more laid back start to the evening, the two set show contains mainly the much loved slower and mid tempo hits in the fist set and then gets the party started in the second set with all the dance floor fillers. An interval of around 15 ... to a maximum of 45 minute’s is recommended between the two sets.
Band… 2 x female vocalists playing the parts of Agnetha & Frida, plus 2 x male musicians (guitarist & keyboard player), playing the parts of Bjorn & Benny and bringing live instrumentation and backing vocals to the show. The overall sound still includes some music, such as drums etc. on track.

Biography

There has been and will only ever be one ABBA! With that in mind UK Björn set themselves apart by celebrating the timeless music, without pretending to be the Swedish sensations themselves. No bad hair, no phoney accents, just the desire to pay homage to ABBA whilst providing an affordable tribute, without any compromise on quality.
‘What you see is what you get!’… UK Björn do not draw on a pool of musicians to piece together a band for your event. They are a settled line up made up of husband and wife team Steve and Kerri, supported by long standing members Cat and Jeremy.

Band Line-Up
Steve – Being brought up around music owing to his father being a musician, it seems Steve’s natural progression was to teach himself how to play the guitar. A passion for blues and country music helped him to develop a natural feel, which many musicians today are sadly lacking. After working behind the scenes as a session guitarist in London studios, Steve took to the stage playing lead guitar in several blues/ rock bands and a tribute to one of his childhood friends, Robbie Williams. Steve moved into the wonderful world of Abba after meeting his now wife Kerri, an already ... established Abba performer. The couple went onto form UK Björn in 2011 and have been treading the boards together ever since.
Kerri – Following in the footsteps of many of the greats, Kerri started out her career on the stage as an entertainer with Haven Leisure. After finding a talent for singing she decided to take things a step further and applied to train at the highly acclaimed Academy of Contemporary music in Guildford. Completing the year long diploma with flying colours, she went on to front various bands working for company’s such as Warner Leisure Hotels and P & O. Finally in 2002 her career took her down the path of becoming a Tribute Artist and she has since portrayed both Agnetha and Frida in some of the most established Abba bands in the industry, until setting up UK Björn with her husband Steve.
Jeremy – Jeremy first took up the piano at the age of 5. With his father already a seasoned performer, it seemed only natural when he found an aptitude for music. In the late 60’s, Jeremy joined the esteemed Chester Cathedral Choir, studying classical piano and choral music. In his late teens, he joined an established local function band signalling the start of a 30 year career playing the North West Entertainment Circuit. More recently Jeremy returned to his roots as the chief Organist and Choir Director at St John’s Church, Chester but in late 2017, he was teased by an advert looking for a new Benny to join an Abba tribute band. Shortly after he became the newest member of UK Björn.
Cat – Having studied musical theatre and performing arts at the world renowned Mountview Academy of theatre arts, London, Cat went on to carve a successful career in the music and entertainment industry which has already spanned over 20 years. With a passion for theatre, Cat has performed in multiple stage productions in the UK and abroad and has also worked as a successful front vocalist around the world. Over recent years Cat has been entertaining audiences across her home county of Cheshire and joined the UK Björn team as Agnetha in December 2015. Read More

UK Björn are a 4 piece band with live vocals, keys and guitar. The show is also fully choreographed from start to finish, this means that we require a practical location to set up and perform. Space wise, ideally we need an area approximately 6 x 1.5 metres or 5 x 2.5 metres as a minimum. There should also be a good provision of electrical sockets as close to the performance area as possible and suitable (preferably lockable) changing facilities close by. If you are at all concerned however that you are unable to fully meet these requirements, please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss t ... he viability of your venue.
UK Björn comes to you fully self-contained, with a top Quality FBT PA rig, with Qube 118sa bins and Mitus 152a tops. In simple terms this means that our music system can comfortably accommodate a room filled with up to around 1000 people.
Not wishing to leave ourselves in the dark, we also have plenty of stage lighting including on stand led lighting cans, floor stage floods and a fabulous central effect light giving off a real 70’s disco vibe. To enhance the lights we use an on stage haze machine where permitted. The haze liquid is water based, but can still affect smoke detectors close to the stage area, so usage of this is assessed on an individual basis.
If your event does not include a DJ, wrap around continuous play 70’s and 80’s music can be provided and played through our PA system to break up the silence inbetween and around our sets. Please note however that this is not a DJ service and as such will not be manned, nor song requests taken.
Finally, for added peace of mind, UK Björn have public liability insurance and all electrical equipment is PAT tested annually. Certification available upon request.
