Biography

The dynamic powerhouse vocalist TySoul formally known as Tyrell was born October 30, 1989. He is a native of Brooklyn, New York, but now resides in the Capitol city of Montgomery, Al. TySoul begin singing at the early age of 5 years old where all he knew was, he liked to mimic and make sounds with his voice. TySoul’s mom realized there was a gift and as the years went by, she allowed him to cultivate and explore different genres of music such as opera, gospel, jazz, and old school R&B just if he still sang with the family gospel group as well. TySoul was the 6th child born out of 8 childr ... en, so there was a lot to learn. TySoul began participating and singing in school chorus, drama club, church choirs, stage plays, groups, and more. Anything musical was a given and at the age of 18 he hit the live music scene where he began writing, recording, and singing background soprano for local bands and upcoming artists in and around the River Region until one day he got noticed. TySoul didn’t realize how different he was until he was asked to sing and perform lead vocals form new upcoming female artist. At first people were confused yet amazed by the sound, talent, and ability he had possess. In no time people took to TySoul. In 2012, he started his own band called TySoul & Limitless Band and set out as an independent artist. He then began expanding and working on his craft which not only included singing, writing music, or recording, but also acting. TySoul was afforded many opportunities such as starring as Angel Dumont Schunard in the Broadway Musical “Rent” presented by Alabama State University Theater Department in 2014. In 2015, TySoul was hired at B.B. Kings Blues Club where he really began reaching vast audiences. In 2017, while attending his first Chaka Khan concert, Tysoul was given the mic by this iconic legend, and she told him “Sing Baby!” and to his surprise the crowd responded. Chaka then said, “Honey you Slayed”. This gave TySoul more hope and faith that he too could become a star. Tysoul then took the feeling and turn it into a life learned lesson which is when you stay ready you don’t have to get ready. In October 2020, TySoul was given the opportunity to sing background vocals for Grammy Award nominated recording artist Chante Moore and what a great experience it was. TySoul knew that this too was also another affirmation that he was born to win and destine to succeed. Currently, TySoul still performs with the TySoul & Limitless Band and continues to rock the stage, spread love, and a whole lot of Rock Soul Funk while breaking musical sound barriers. Chaka then said, “Honey you Slayed”. This gave Tysoul more hope and faith that he too could become a star. Tysoul then took the feeling and turn it into a life learned lesson which is when you stay ready you don’t have to get ready.
