Biography

The Funks are talented session players that came together in 2009 and have played all round the world.
The founder of The Funks is the 5"2 female soulful power house that is Jody.
The Funks were originally a family band with Jody's dad Andy on guitar and Jody's brother Lee on bass, Jody kept the band going after they retired.
Jody has performed in the most prestigious venues in the world. The London Palladium, Theatre Royal, Albert Hall and Her Majesty's Theatre. Jody was also a semi finalist on Britain's Got Talent in 2013 and has also performed in different bands abroad.
The smooth v ... ocals from Liam! Liam and Jody have been friends for 16 years. Jody met Liam at a karaoke and Jody fell in love with his voice as soon as she heard him. Liam was once very shy and now he is booming with confidence. Before Liam joined The Funks he was and still is a Michael Buble Tribute. His smooth vocals bring something very special to The Funks and has an enormous vocal range. Jody and Liam sing so beautifully together with Soul, Passion and Power!
Malc! Well where do I start! He literally sets those keys on fire. You haven't seen anyone play the keys until you see Malc! Malc is also the secret weapon of The Funks as he brings a third vocal to the line up too! He loves a Mash Up! We never know what he will do next!

Mick: "The rocker with no hair" can also bring you soul! Mick's passion oozes through his playing! Mick is always happy to take a solo and always performs with a smile on his face! Rock was always Mick's background but when he found The Funks he found The Funk!
Chester: "Mr Smooth" is our laid back bass player. Chester feels the groove by relaxing in the back line as if he was on a beach! He does pop out to the front every now and then to show everyone that he is here. If your lucky he may slap that bass and get Funky!!
Colin lives for his drumming! He is funky and always happy! If he finds a mic he will do a bit of singing too!! Colin will bring Mildred (his kit) almost everywhere he goes! He keeps the rhythm going and going and going and going..........
