Biography
South African born Tanya Sholto-Douglas, known musically as t.e.d, has been singing her whole life, but only began her journey into music at the age of 18. Now aged 24 and studying Popular Music at the University of Gloucestershire, Tanya's talent as a guitarist, pianist and songwriter has earned her tens of thousands of streams online. Making her debut in May 2020 with the EP"halfpace", Tanya introduced her acoustic-led, indie sound to her humble social media following and was met with great reception. A year later, she followed up with her single "Black Smoke", once again showing off her dis

Sonically, t.e.d pushes the boundaries between genres. Falling somewhere between alt-pop, singer-songwriter and R&B, t.e.d presents a lo-fi ambiance that does not fail to capture her listeners' complete attention. Her laid-back, ballad style is threaded with the sort of lyrical vulnerability that sets t.e.d apart, although she draws inspiration from the likes of Daniel Caesar, beabadoobe and Rainbow Kitten Surprise. Currently working on new music set for later release, t.e.d is certainly an artist to keep on your radar.
