Swallowtail is a duo featuring the musical artistry of Matt Armbrust and Emele Clothier. Repertoire includes all original sets as well Americana, Blues, and Jazz classics.
Swallowtail’s lineup is also flexible based on the needs of the venue. We can arrange quieter acoustics for just the duo through classic four piece rock setups to full our full arrangement including an orchestra with our contract musicians we lovingly refer to as The Kaleidoscope.

Biography

Swallowtail was created in the Methow Valley of Washington State after a season of gigging between Matt Armbrust and Emele Clothier. Both seasoned musicians, Armbrust is an international award winning composer, multi-instrumentalist and professional violinist while Clothier is an award winning songwriter with a fifty year career gaining her greatest prominence touring with the Horse Crazy Cowgirl Band for over a decade. As collaborators, Armbrust and Clothier just really enjoy working with each other.
