I am available as a Solo Saxophonist, Flautist and Clarinetist. Playing many different genres of music.
I am also available with my partner Simon Buck, a fabulous guitarist and singer. We are available as a Duo, Trio (with our Double Bass) or band (with drums and bass). We play many different styles also. Rock, Pop, Soul, Jazz, Blues, Samba, Bosssnova and Classical.

Biography

I was born in Cardiff, South Wales and started playing the Saxophone at the age of 9. Progressing quickly I started teaching at the age of 14 and playing in many bands and orchestras until leaving to go travelling at 18. Since my return to Wales 10 years ago I have started working with many great musicians. Playing with a Swing band for 5 years then starting my own band Buck Shizz and going out on my own as a Solo musician.. Throughout the week I still teach Saxophone, Flute and Clarinet from my home and online.

Private Music Teacher October 2006+
I teach students of all ages to play the saxophone and flute, clarinet or beginner piano. Lessons are given individually, in pairs or groups.
I teach by ear and by sight, encouraging creativity and improvising. Students are introduced to different genres of music and will be shown ways to master techniques using the styles they enjoy.
I help students to set goals such as a performance, exam, audition or an ensemble piece to play with others so they have the incentive to attend lessons and follow up by regular practise. They’re also shown how to transcribe songs to strengthen their ear, understand music theory, take care of their instruments, compose pieces and perform.
