Sanja Maas and Daniel Jovanović, vocalist and pianist met on Cruise ships, both performing in their respective bands. They perform together since 2020, both sharing their love for jazz, pop, blues and Latin music. SeaStar duo will entertain you with a broad repertoire.

Biography

Sanja Maas on vocals and Daniel Jovanović on piano, both musicians share a passion for live music, stages and diversified music.
Sanja grew up in a musical family and started classical piano at the age of 6, she performs live since the age of thirteen in blues, jazz, pop and Latin flavored styles.
She graduated at the jazz department of the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in 2000.
Sanja toured in Europe, North Africa and Singapore with dj projects and released songs in New York (Shadow Records), Buddha Bar 25th Anniversary 2021, Epoque Label Barcelona and performed on the Montreux Jazz Fest ... ival with her trip hop jazz project Sayma in 2004.
Since 2013 she sings on cruiseships (Hapag Lloyd and Meinschiff Tui Cruises) and loves life on board and performing for different audiences.
Daniel is an experienced pianist with more than 25 years of performing experience, he has classical, blues and rock roots and grew up in a musical family in Belgrade, Serbia.
Like Sanja he shares the love of cruiseship life and works for the Meinschiff fleet since 2017.
They’ve met on Meinschiff both working with different projects and they started performing together in 2020 since the start up of the Blaue Reise concept during the pandemic.
With their different backgrounds they create a unique mix of styles and songs from artists such as Frank Sinatra, Sade, David Bowie, Bill Withers, Stevie Wonder and many more.
Sanja sings in English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Serbian and Portuguese and she loves to entertain guests with different musical styles.
The SeaStar duo will transport you in a warm musical journey full of stories behind the songs and the respect they share for the artists they choose to interpret.
