Biography

I have been playing bass since the age of 7 and all I ever wanted to be was Paul McCartney. Alas, that role was already taken but bass has remained my passion and count my blessings it has given me a career too.
After three decades of playing this is my first foray as a solo act and so far it has gone above and beyond my wildest dreams.
I have recorded and performed with some amazing bands and singers from both the UK and US.

Absolutely Brilliant service, prompt responses and Saul made our little gathering extra special! Such a talented musician, with a huge repertoire of songs including the three I added, which he learnt especially for our event, I can’t thank you enough, it will be a memory that will be spoken about for many years to come.

So it's the Governor, Terry Lee's birthday and The Rock Cooperative put on a night for him. First up is local hero, Saul Watson. So what do you expect on a rock night? Some bloke doing Paul McCartney covers wouldn't come instantly to mind but it was brilliant. Using backing tracks recorded by himself, Saul had the crowd going. On a truly eclectic night, I can't think of a more enjoyable opener. Go see him do his full 2 hour show

Absolutely fantastic. Saul’s passion and love for the material shines throughout. He’s a diverse multi-instrumentalist that makes you forget it’s a solo show. He knows how to interact with a crowd and makes everyone welcome. You’d be mad not to book him up!

Meet the Act

I was born, bred and still live in a lovely part of Kent..
I have been playing live since I was 14 years of age and have played with a host of UK and US pop and rock
artists as well as recording with members of Deep Purple, Mr.Big and Billy Joel’s band.
I discovered a box of records when my Dad left home when I was 4 years of age. It was stacked with now legendary artists but the records that got me the most were the Beatles and 'Wings At The Speed of Sound' album. The first time I heard the bass line on 'Silly Love Songs' I was transfixed. I then went backwards through the Beatles alb ...
