Biography
Ricky Parish has been around music his whole life. He started taking guitar lessons at the age of 7. He quickly grew found of classical music. His father bought him an electric guitar at age 10. His whole life changed! He started learning many styles. In High School, he was featured in a stage band.
In 1992, he met a local guitar hero named Terry Kilgore in Pasadena, CA. Terry gave him the skills for the Blues. In 1998, through a chance meeting, Ricky was introduced to Blues Legend John Lee Hooker. Ricky was able to tour and play as a featured guitarist. He was able to play alongside many gr
... eats, including B.B. King.
In 2002, Ricky formed The Blues Gypsys. They recorded 3 albums over a 10 year period. After years of performing and touring, Ricky decide to focus on Carols Santana and his music. He formed the Pablo Flinch Band. They incorporate many songs of Santana's catalogue, including some rare but beautiful songs. In 2012, Ricky met famed Bassist John Hatton of the Brian Setzer Orchestra. They got together with drummer Tony Pia and formed The Rockabilly Rebels.
