Description

I am a versatile Vocalist with a repertoire spanning from Opera Arias, Musicals, Pop, Country and Jazz which makes me suitable for most events and venues whether it is a small lounge or family get together or a big stage or larger audience. I also specialise in Vintage Music and perform at many 1940s weekends at Railways, inside marquees, outside. I have a wide repertoire of music suitable for that era from Vera Lynn Classics to the Glenn Miller Big Band Music. All my equipment is fully PAT tested, I’ve Public Liability Insurance through Equity and DBS certificate.

Biography

After gaining a BA Hons Degree in Performing Arts, Rachel went to work as a Production Vocalist and Dancer for Warner Holidays and Grand Hotels. This gave her valuable experience in performing to live audiences nightly and to learn the important technical side of the job, lights and sound, which is a valuable skill for any live performer. Since 2009 Rachel has been working as a Classical Crossover Singer and has performed at many prestigious events and venues for Weddings, Theatres, Masonic, Rotary, PROBUS evenings and many more. In the last 5 years she has also become popular at many 1940s ev ... ents throughout the North West of England.

Last evening I had perhaps the most enjoyable hour I have spent for many months - if not years (sad person!) - listening to and enjoying the singing of Rachel. The range, intonation, power and versatility of her voice are only matched by the variety of her songs - all superb and much-loved songs from many contrasting genre. I don't know what she was paid for last night, but it's frankly irrelevant, as she is priceless.

Rachel Mercer - Other Singer - Morecambe, North West England Event Location: Blackpool Hangar 42 Event Type: 1940s and Vintage Event 21st October 2019

A soulful singer, classic 1940s, Event and wedding singer. We saw her at a 1940 event at Morecambe and also at the Lytham St Annes Spitfire Display Team 1940s event at Hangar 42, Blackpool Airport in October. Highly recommended.

Rachel sang at our Golden Wedding celebration evening at the Longlands. She was superb with everyone commenting on her beautiful voice and lovely personality and we danced all night. She has also sung at our WI evening in Bolton - Le -Sands and had a wonderful reception.
