Biography

Born in Switzerland, Pascal showed early talent in movement and sport as well as for maths and the like. This combination made him pursue a career in science first, while spending a lot of time doing sport, dance and circus. After graduating with a Masters in Physics and working in the electronics industry for 3 years, Pascal’s career made a quantum leap. He decided to run away to the circus, turn his hobby into a profession and enrol at the full-time circus school CircoArts in New Zealand. A year later, following a devastating earthquake, he continued his training at the National Institute ... of Circus Arts in Melbourne, where he graduated in December 2011, specialising in cyr wheel, juggling and partner acrobatics.
He has since gained a wealth of international performance experience, enchanting the stages of Circus Aotearoa in New Zealand, "Swiss Christmas” in Zurich, Varieté Et Cetera in Bochum and on board M/S Color Fantasy, to name but a few. His cyr wheel act was a success at the Melbourne Fringe Festival and the Circus Festival of Saint-Paul-lès-Dax. In 2014/2015 he performed in the ensemble of the UK tour of the Musical Barnum.
The Sumerians invented the wheel more than 5000 years ago and it quickly turned into an indispensable tool for everyday life. Back then they might not have guessed that it would also become a means for artistic and acrobatic expression. The “cyr wheel”, a body-sized ring named after a Canadian circus artist, is Pascal’s favourite circus apparatus. For him, performing with his wheel is like dancing with a partner. With daring skill and elegance he inspires and mesmerizes his audiences.
Pascal likes the outdoors, travelling the world and diving into different cultures, but even more he loves the stage, the circus and variety world.

Pascal Haering - Cyr Wheel Act - Bristol, South West Event Location: Ziefen Event Type: gymnastics show event 20th August 2016

Pascal Haering performed with its cyr wheel act at the gymnastics demonstration in Ziefen. With the perfectly choreographed performance he amazed the audience. His moves in and around the cyr wheel were executed with highest precision and artistic finesse. The small but beautiful juggling act during a scene-change was met with thundering applause. With his circus artistry Pascal Haering was a huge enrichment for the gymnastics event.
