Description

Music makes events memorable. Think about it - there are probably many memories in your life you associate with a song. First girlfriend, first high school dance, first kiss, your walk down the aisle. It's from that perspective we are together as a band. It's a real high for us when people approach us after a show and tell us what they enjoyed.
Consider the name - "Paradygm Shyft" - it indicates versatility and that's exactly what we do! Need a dance party? We bring it - songs from 70's (Wild Cherry) to today (Justin Timberlake)! Classic rock, 80's, 90's, 2000's and 2010's are all i ... n our repertoire. With the experience we have in this band learning new songs is quite easy. Our singers have fantastic range and there is little we can't do. Our musicians are talented enough that we replicate the songs as you know them. Given enough lead time we can probably learn an entire set for a show. Try us!
The band is made up of a group of professionals - a doctor, lawyer, business executive, and sales. Speaking in front of an audience is nothing new. You need an MC at your event on top of a live act? That's us. A couple of us have given presentations in front of thousands!
We show up on time (early really) dressed for the occasion. We're as comfortable in a dressed up corporate gig as we are at a picnic pavilion at a park. Bars, formals, fundraisers, weddings - we've done them all!

Biography

Paradygm Shyft as a band has only been together since 2016. However, the members average 20+ years of experience being in cover bands.
“Beautiful Bev” is one of our lead singers, a vocal powerhouse with 20+ years of experience who delivers your favorite female party hits like only a female can. From soft and sultry to searing and stratospheric, she has both exceptional vocal range and dynamics, and she’ll show the boys in the band what dance moves are! With extensive stage experience, she can cover the gamut from soulful Patsy Cline to dance club Pink all night long. Mike is our other lead vocalist, providing the vocal compliment to Bev and shining in his own right. Singing since college, he even met his wife at one of his shows, and his love ballads are still directed towards her at our shows today. His vocal range spans the sexy Keith Urban “Blue Ain’t Your Color” ballads to Bruno’s funk to high energy, dance-able rock. Mike enjoys performing music from every genre and decade and wants those songs to be a memorable part of your event or evening.
“Dr. Doug On The Magic Sax” delivers the sophisticated and house-rockin’ sounds you can only get from his range of vintage horns. In addition, he’s a multi-synth master who makes the sounds you know from your favorite party hits, and his harmony vocals contribute to the amazing “wall of sound” you have to experience live. With 30+ years of musical experience and a passion for funk, rock, and R&B, Dr. Doug delivers your favorite party hits from the stage and beyond.
Rob heard Ace Frehley on Kiss Alive and he was hooked on guitar. He expanded his influences to include Jimmy Page, Don Felder, Neil Schon, Ritchie Sambora, Phil Collen and many others. Rob is a long time veteran of the Columbus music scene mostly in Pop/Rock/Dance bands and enjoys the stage and live audiences. He’s an equipment aficionado and owns several vintage and late model guitars and Marshall amps as well as his beloved Kemper Profiler. Rob is an IT consultant by day and lives out his rock fantasy at night.
"Action Jack" has banged the skins since age 16, when joining his first band "Eclipse." He had no idea this passion for music would last so long. Spanning 25 years & 10 bands later, Jack continues to develop his experiences in Classic, Alternative & Progressive Rock. Influenced by great drummers like Stewart Copeland, Steve Gadd, Neil Peart, Chad Smith & Taylor Hawkins, Jack continues to integrate digital electronic sounds with acoustic drum beats, to provide a great dance beat you can feel.
