Experience

Alongside creatively producing and leading on projects, Paix collaborates with local, national and international artists to make records, live performance, film and digital performance. Her latest projects include; creating and scoring award winning short films, co-writing and performing on the album 'With Love, From Glasgow' from Producer and DJ Rebecca Vasmant, which made the Top 10 on the UK and International Jazz Charts, respectively.

Meet the Act

We are Gillian and Rory, we have been playing together for about 4 years now, in bands and as a duo and supporting each others individual projects.
A BIT ABOUT US INDIVIDUALLY:
RORY
I am a multi-instrumental session musician, producer, songwriter and educator based in Scotland. I play Electric + Acoustic + Nylon guitar, Bass guitar, Double Bass, Bouzouki, Mandolin, Low D Whistle, Keys, Synths, Electronics, Percussion and Drums. I sing too.
My creative desire is to invite myself and others into a soulful presence, within which we can cultivate joy and celebrate the beauty of our lif ... e here on Earth. Sometimes the music is ecstatic, sometimes it is sorrowful - for me, the common thread is that when we feel aligned it is because we want to be here and now and because we feel held.
GILLIAN - is collaborative and loves co-creating and facilitating. Alongside leading on their own projects, Paix receives commissions and collaborates with national and international artists to make records, live performance, film and digital works. Amongst their latest successes are directing, composing, and performing music for; five short films and four records, including the award-winning film Ghost Island, by Lisandro Suriel. Paix also co-wrote and performed on the critically acclaimed album, 'With Love, From Glasgow' by Producer and DJ Rebecca Vasmant, which made the Top 10 on the UK and International Jazz Charts, respectively.
