Whether it be fire, LED's, silks, or dazzling holographic props, Midori utilizes a range of skills; from silk veils and poi for more dance-heavy shows, to staffs or swords for her martial dance routines, to mesmerize audiences.

Experience

Midori began her performance career in 2021 at Prophecy Music Festival in BC, Canada. At the time, she'd been training for about a year in Vancouver under industry leads in staff, poi, and swords; as well as self-teaching rope dart. She continued to perform for Prophecy Music events into 2022, throughout which she also performed with the Ember Arts Fire Society... predominantly at Vancouver's annual Lumiere Fest in November 2021.
Midori continued to predominately perform at music festivals until joining MythMaker Entertainment in 2022. This introduced her to the private party scene; as well ... as roaming artist gigs at events such as family-friendly Vancouver Island Music Festival, where Midori was popular for her roving human butterfly act.
Midori then choreographed and performed in MythMaker's opening duet for their Viking lore-themed show Ouroboros: The Eternal Dragon; which was performed at multiple events... most notably Vancouver's Parade of Lost Souls, and Burning Man 2022, where Midori additionally performed with the Pyronaughts. In Ouroboros, Midori portrayed Angrboda, the "mother of monsters," a role that both engaged and challenged her martial dance skills. She additionally portrayed, Munin the Raven in the show's finale.
In mid-2022, Midori added folding fire fans to he repertoire, which quickly became popular among audiences.
In late 2022, Midori performed with fire for her first SAE (Special Abilities Extra) gig for the movie Buddy Games 2; and additionally brought her talents into the "Baddest Girl" music video by local singer/songwriter, Ninji Flows.
In 2023, Midori travelled through Mexico, training with local fire dancers in Isla Mujeres, Tulum, and Mexico City before arriving at Lake Atitlan in Guatemala to train with world-renown performers at the Guateflow 2023 training retreat.
There, she and others at the retreat,put on free shows for locals and other visitors to San Marcos La Laguna.
She then ventured to Germany where she posed with fire fans for the launch photography of local DJ, Effex.
Since returning to Canada, she has rejoined the Ember Arts Fire Society for Burning Man 2023, and continues to train in new skills and props everyday... adding dragon staff, tech fans, illusion flow, levi wand, kung fu fan flow, and acroyoga to her list of skills since returning to Canada.
In 2023, Midori returned to performing with Ember Arts Society, performing with them at Burning Man 2023, Lumiere 2023, and Livin' Up Coal Harbour, a five week event by the City of Vancouver.
As of 2024, Midori is still performing with Ember Arts, and is currently training for Burning Man 2024, including choreogrpahing several routines, and starring in their opening duet.
She hopes to continue taking her craft to new places, and new heights. Read More
