Biography
Mehreen has established herself as an accomplished and versatile soprano in opera, concert, recital, and musical theatre. She studies with internationally renowned soprano Olivia Whelan. In 2011 Mehreen graduated from Bath Spa University with a BA (Hons) in Music, gaining the highest mark in her year for her final Recital. Mehreen has performed as a soprano soloist in numerous venues including St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, Wells Cathedral, Bath Abbey, Highcliffe Castle and The Turner Sims Concert Hall. ... bert & Sullivan Festival in Harrogate. Other highlights include soprano solo in Rossini's Stabat Mater in Eastbourne, conducted by Glyndebourne Chorus Master Nicholas Jenkins. Other notable conductors she has worked with include Jason Thornton (Bath Philharmonia) and Gavin Carr (Bournemouth Symphony Chorus/Orchestra).
Opera roles include Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi) 1st Woodsprite (Rusalka), Cleopatra (Giulio Cesare) Second Woman (Dido & Aeneas), Louisa (A Feast in Time of Plague), Cupid (Orpheus in the Underworld) and Le Canape in VOPERA and the LPO's Sky Arts South Bank and Royal Philharmonic Society's Award-winning virtual production of Ravel's 'L'Enfant et les Sortileges'.
In 2018 Mehreen performed as guest soloist at the British Legion's Remembrance Concert at Mayflower Theatre, Southampton, and she recently created and performed a series of concerts celebrating the centenary of Leonard Bernstein, including a performance at Brighton Fringe Festival.
