Biography

Matt, a Guelph native, received his music degree at Sir Wilfred Laurier University and Queen’s University. His professional performance career began in the mid 80’s and includes both live and studio experiences in Jazz, Pop/Rock, Country and Musical Theatre. Matt is a multi-instrumentalist whos primary instruments drums and percussion, Saxophones, and EWI (Electronic Wind Instrument). As a music educator he has taught instrumental and vocal music from grades Jk to Grade 12 for more than 25 years including the Music Director at Bishop MacDonell Catholic Secondary School in Guelph, Ontari ... o where he taught courses in instrumental music, guitar, vocal and electronic music composition. Matt also directed the school’s Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble and Vocal Ensembles. Matt currently performs with The Doubtfires, and has served as Musical/Orchestra Director for several Musical Theatre Companies.
