Masechaba is an African Jazz singer and songwriter as well as poet. She fuses both her singing and poetry with beautiful African sounds from her band "The Nation". Having been given National Platforms recently, this brought excitement and more hard work to entertainment. Having Shared stages with numerous acts, upcoming and others being internation it has taught the band and her to reach out with their music. Whether singing and original or Cover.

Biography

Masechaba is a young Vibrant Singer/song writer that was raised in a small township In the east of Johannesburg, the only daughter from both parents. Having come from a choral music background she is the only that sings jazz, with her skill of writing is also on the path of writing and a book and was a literature volunteer at a local school. With this she has been invited at the 2014 and 2015 Maun International Arts Festival Botswana, where she shared a stage with Chris Wobé Kélé of the Reunion Island, Vera Zimbabwe as a collective. Having come back home, she does small gigs around Johannes ... burg, Nikki's, Nigel Jazz Cafe, Bdb nights, and currently will be on the Heidelberg Winter Jazz Festival and The Polokwane Jazz Festival. Experience

Masechaba started professionally singing in 2010 and has been with the Nation Band for a Year now. She has been singing with session musicians, prior she took a break from performing, it was until 2016 June when she met with The Nation Band at a Jam session and hit it off real well that they formed "Masechaba and The Nation".
