Close-up magic, AKA table-hopping, club and cabaret comedy magic, stand-up comedy, comedy music performed live. I offer a variety show suitable for all ages while working 100% clean. I am adept at hosting, featuring and headlining any type of venue; from local coffee houses, comedy clubs, churches to corporate events and trade shows.

Biography

Marvin is a premiere comedic performer unlike most others. His ability to amaze, amuse, captivate an audience and elicit laughter seemingly at will is unmatched. His use of great one-liners at a fast pace to keep the attention of even the most ADHD among us, mixed with his story-telling prowess, has allowed him to be recognized as one of the most versatile entertainers utilized by promoters and booking agents across the country. Not only can he bring the fun, but watch in amazement as he is an accomplished magician as well. Close-up magic in an intimate setting or club and parlor magic designe ... d for hundreds can be brought about with ease. His innovative and humorous approach set him apart from the run-of-the-mill illusionists. If that’s not enough, he also plays the guitar which he incorporates into all of his headlining shows to bring an all-inclusive entertainment package. Marvin’s journey has taken him to bars, coffee houses, wineries, comedy clubs, churches, schools, colleges and universities, theaters, business seminars, country clubs, casinos, cruise ships and even a few weddings and one funeral. Along the way he has enjoyed the opportunity to work with entertainers of all levels spanning from the newest open mic comic to world famous/household names. He has collaborated with entertainers such as Scott Alexander, David Copperfield, Penn and Teller, and even the late, great Harry Anderson. Most recently he has been seen performing alongside “Last Comic Standing” alumni Daryl Felsberg and winner Dat Phan. As a headliner, his unorthodox approach to comedy will certainly bring a smile to your face and put a laugh in your belly as he draws from his life experiences. Very clever magic tricks too."

Meet the Act

I grew up as the baby boy in a large family. I was tormented regularly by my older siblings which made me who I am today; jaded. cynical and untrusting of others. Along the way, I learned how to look at things from a different viewpoint and find the funny instead of dwelling on what might have been. One of my older brothers showed me a magic trick when I was around 10. I begged him to show me how to do it, but he never would. I snuck into his room one night and found out the secret and was so enthralled, I have been doing magic ever since. As much as I love magic, my passion truly lies in just ... making everyone forget about what is going on in their own lives; even for the briefest of moments. Through comedy, magic and music I have found a gift that is hopefully worth sharing.
