Madam Sen
Operatic Geisha Soprano Singer-Songwriter
From traditional opera to dance music to Japanese ballads, Madam Sen creates new possibilities in the world of classical voice.
Madam Sen was featured in Forbes Magazine for her performance at the "Estate of Zen" lifestyle event, which infused Japanese cultural elements and traditions with her portrayal of a Madam Butterfly aria-singing geisha.
In addition to appearing in many professional opera productions, she has performed in numerous private corporate events, weddings, parties, festivals, and concerts.
Madam Sen sings in En ... glish, Italian, German, Spanish, and Japanese. Her repertoire includes classic wedding themes (including songs such as "Ave Maria") and popular opera arias (Puccini, Mozart, Schubert, and others). She can also perform classical crossover songs (such as "Time to Say Goodbye") or traditional music ("Amazing Grace").
Born in Hiroshima, Japan, Madam Sen discovered her love for singing in the U.S. and began her vocal training in Los Angeles. While focusing on the timeless power of opera, she explored different genres, creating a unique, personal style and honing her professional abilities as a street performer in Santa Monica.
Combining the worlds of classical vocals with both traditional and modern arrangements, she seeks to create a connection between all people through the power of music.

"I was the lady who was photographing and raptly listening to Madam Sen's beautiful music last Saturday at the street fair in Santa Monica. When she had finished singing, I came over to her and hugged her, and started crying!Her voice stays with me ... I have her recorded on my phone (just a few stanzas of the songs she was singing). I have played them over several times since hearing her sing. She has the most beautiful voice I have ever heard!"

"I was so surprised to hear Madam Sen's wonderful singing today. Her voice is so beautiful, and she sang with such wonderful expression and interpretation! My favorite was Schubert’s “Ständchen”, but I liked them all. The Japanese song “A Thousand Winds” was very moving to me, as I have lost both my parents in the last few years, and have been very sad about that. Thanks again for your beautiful singing."

"I can't thank you enough for the beautiful service you gave our mother yesterday. From the very first time I spoke with you on the phone I knew in my heart it was you I wanted. Your kindness and professionalism is unmatched by no other. When you started to sing yesterday it was like the gates of heaven opened and an angels voice sang out. You will be forever in our memories during a very sad time in our lives. If you would please thank the Harpist for us also. I didn't get a chance to thank her for we all had left the church. She also left some very beautiful memories. You both will be forever in our hearts. I wanted to send you a card but did not know where to send it. If I ever know anyone who needs a vocalist I will definitely recommend you. You touched many people's hearts yesterday."
