Biography

Hi !
My name is Ludovico, I'm 29 years old and I'm a pianist and a piano teacher.
I started playing the piano when I was 6 and have never stopped playing since.
While attending the second year of Liceo Classico I was admitted to the "L. Refice" Conservatory
of Frosinone in the piano class of Maestro Maurizia Lengyel (pupil of Maestro Vera Gobbi
Belcredi, who attended the class of pianist and composer Alfredo Casella) : with her I studied until
the fifth year.
Following the retirement of Maestro Lengyel, I studied in the class of Maestro Roberto Cavalli
(pupil of Maestro Vincenzo Vitale ... ) up to the seventh year.
After having applied for a transfer to the "S. Cecilia" Conservatory in Rome and having passed the
entrance exam, I continued studying the piano with M° Delfina D'Annibale.
Thanks to the support of M° Alfonso Soldano, I finished preparing the demanding eighth year exam
and I passed it.
The following year I met M° Mattia Mistrangelo and with him I started preparing the program for
the final exam of the piano course.
The last year I studied in the class of Maestro Antonella Lunghi.
I faced the arduous final exam for the Piano Diploma on July 11, 2020, after the start of the Covid-
19 pandemic.
Simultaneously with the academic piano study course, I obtained the Experimental Classical High
School Diploma and the Level B1 certificate for the PET English language.
I also became interested in the study of jazz, pop and contemporary music, studying both under the
guidance of Maestros Daniela Mizzoni and Francesco Carlesi at the "Musicando" music school in
Frosinone, and independently, and I also attended an intense masterclass with Maestro Gerard
Iacoucci.
I attended the degree course in "Literature, Music and Performing Arts" and for several years I was
the pianist of the Jazz Orchestra of the "Sapienza" University of Rome "MuSa Jazz", directed by
Maestro Silverio Cortesi: among the many concerts we played in Sala Nervi in front of Pope
Francis (17 March 2016), we duetted with the Yale Concert Band, we participated in the "Lievito
2017" review in Latina and we staged the musical comedy "Rugantino" by Maestro Armando
Trovajoli .
I also played as a pianist and keyboardist in the Classical Orchestra of the "Sapienza" University of
Rome "MuSa Classica", directed by Maestro Francesco Vizioli.
I was the substitute pianist of the gospel choir of the American University of Rome "The Amazing
Grace Gospel Choir", directed by Maestro Timothy Martin.
I participated as a pianist and keyboardist in many events organized by the "Miscellaneous Art and
Science" association directed by Maestro Giuseppe Antonio Russo, including the Europe Day (May
9, 2017) and a concert with Maestro Luca Blasio, violin soloist and tutor of the Royal Oman
Symphony Orchestra.
During the Diploma course in Piano at the "S. Cecilia" Conservatory in Rome, I met Maestro
Roberto Iantorni: I was the pianist of several of his projects, including a concert dedicated to the
soundtracks of Italian cinema "La Dolce Vita " (with the contribution of sound and images by
Federico Savina, sound engineer of the director Federico Fellini) and a concert dedicated to the
history of Neapolitan music from the Middle Ages to the present day "The Neapolitan song from
the Middle Ages to Pop" (with guests of honor Fausto Cigliano, Gianluca Marino and Maria
Stifini).
On 10 December 2018 I took part in the concert dedicated to social issues “T.E.H.R. - Thematic
Exhibition on Human Rights - The Woman between Wars and Peace”, under the artistic direction of
Isabel Russinova and under the patronage of Amnesty International.
Furthermore, on October 28, 2019 I attended the concert in the Academic Hall for the
commemoration of Maestro Armando Trovajoli "A day with Trovajoli - Concerto Trovajoli and
more", on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the release of the film "Nell’Anno del Signore"
by the movie director Luigi Magni.
At the branch of S. Andrea delle Fratte of the “S. Cecilia" Conservatory in Rome, I attended for two
years the Basic module and the Advanced module of the "Tuning and Piano Technologies" course
held by Maestro Mauro Buccitti.
At the same time, I attended the courses held by Prof. Franca Ferrari, Carla Conti and Maria Luisa
D'Alessandro at the "Santa Cecilia" Conservatory in Rome and acquired 24 credits (in anthropopsycho-
pedagogical subjects and in teaching methodologies and technologies ) needed for teaching.
Over the years I have enriched my musical and piano training, attending, as an effective student, the
Masterclasses with the Masters: Roberto Cappello, Michele Marvulli, Pierluigi Camicia, Gerardo
Iacoucci, Drafi Kalman, Antoinette Van Zabner, Alfonso Soldano, Cinzia Falco, Tim Ovens, Laszlo
Stacho, Ivan Urvalov.
In February 2021 I was one of the students of the "Santa Cecilia" Conservatory chosen to
participate in the "Mosso con Brio" virtual mobility activity of the European project NEWS in
MAP.
For several years I have been giving classical and modern piano lessons to students of all ages,
trying to adapt the educational path to their needs.
Since November 2022 I have been teaching music and piano at the "In Music Studio" music school
in Rome.
Furthermore, I have replaced Maestro Emanuele Bruno several times in teaching at the
"Synchronia" and "Controchiave" music schools in Rome and I have substituted at the
"Oltremusica" music school in Ciampino and "L'Isola dell'Arte" music school in Rome .
I am finishing the Biennium of Substitute Master and Korrepetitor at the "S. Cecilia" Conservatory
in Rome in the class of M° Domenico Poccia.
Since January 2023 I have been taking care of the musical accompaniment of the theater laboratory
activity in the elementary and childhood schools of Rome, collaborating with the Master actors
Jonata Arata and Eleonora Lipuma of the association "A.M.C. - Associazione Mamma Coraggio” of
Dr. Liliana Blandino.
Until May 19, 2023 I played on the MSC Euribia ship as keyboardist of the MSC Euribia Big Band,
directed by M° Alfredo Matera (under the supervision of M° Marco Grasso and the creative
direction of Marco Terreni).
The repertoire of the MSC Euribia Big Band includes not only Jazz Swing songs, but Disco Music
hits, Rock songs and some of the most beautiful soundtracks of cinema.
