Biography
Layla Kim Ackermann is a professional swiss ballet/contemporary dancer and aerialist based in Europe. She received her dance training at the Vienna State Opera Ballet School in Austria and her BA Hons degree at the Rambert School of Ballet & Contemporary dance in London UK. IN 2016 she found her passion for the Circus Arts and honed from then on her skills in aerial acrobatics specialised in aerial lyra, silks and Pole dance. She has performed together with the VIenna State Opera ballet company, the Vienna Volks Opera ballet company and the Rambert Ballet company in productions such as La Sylp ... hide, Max & Moritz and The Creation. Since 2017 Layla has been contracted with Ocean Arts Entertainment & Phönix Cruise Lines as dancer/dance captain & aerialist on board of the MV Albatros and MV Artania. Inbetween cruise contracts, she has been working as aerialist and dancer in the Variete Theatre production 12Noches, the Garabujo Ball and as part of the Salsa Flow latin Showensemble in Switzerland. Layla is also a licensed Vaganova ballet teacher aswell as a certified Yoga & aerial Yoga teacher. She loves to learn constantly new disciplines and to further hone her skills as an overall performer.
