Biography
Kerry, who holds a diploma in music theatre performance and a background in musical theatre, has graced stages across England and internationally for the past 20 years. Her performances span a variety of venues, from the Tivoli Theatre in Wimborne, to outdoor festivals like the widely celebrated Floral Fringe Fair, where she's been a favourite for the past eight years. Kerry has also been honoured to perform at special events, including the ‘Survivor’s Dinner’ for the Sagratino Cup in Umbria, Italy, and even as far afield as Myanmar. Other highlights include a multi-venue, mu
... lti-year ‘residency’ for the Rural Crafts Association of Great Britain which involved performances at the prestigious Burghley Horse Trials. In 2022, Kerry decided to go back to her musical theatre roots and set herself the challenge of creating, producing, directing and starring in her own one-woman musical theatre show, Femmes Fatales, which explored and celebrated the diversity
of leading ladies in musical theatre. Revelling in being back on the stage again, two years later, Kerry created a new offering Rainy Days, Mondays & Good Old Dreams, a show which sensitively explores the music and lives of the
Carpenters. Now in its second year, this show is touring successfully across the south of the UK.

Meet the Act
Kerry is a highly articulate and professional musician. Kerry firmly believes that good communication with venues and bookers is one of the most important keys to success, along with tenacity! Kerry absolutely loves to perform either solo, with another musician or with her band. Performance is in her soul.
Kerry cites the key turning point in her musical career as the moment when she had a chance meeting with a Glaswegian crooner, Jamie Rourke, whilst on holiday in Tenerife in 2009. Up to that point, Kerry had performed in local musical theatre productions but had not considered a professio
... nal singing career. Inspired by what Jamie had achieved, Kerry returned home and set about creating her own musical offering as a solo artist.
Kerry's first gig in a restaurant, was, she admits, a disaster. "I didn't know anything about using a PA system and a microphone so I had issues with feedback that I didn't know how to fix on the hoof", Undeterred, Kerry continued and, in 2010, her first successful gig, a French evening at the Deck Cafe in Emsworth, was quickly followed by a multi year booking with the Rural Crafts Association of Great Britain, including an appearance at the prestigious Burghley Horse Trials.
Since then she has gone from strength to strength and is currently performing in her own Carpenters tribute show.
Kerry says, “it was a massive undertaking to attempt to reproduce the vocals of perhaps the greatest female vocalist of all time.” She continues, “Karen has such an intimate vocal style not at all akin to musical theatre, so I have had to develop a more “contained” speech-style of singing. I nicknamed it “singing in a box”, and that does not come naturally to me!” Kerry finishes, “what a blessed opportunity I have been given to be able to bring this timeless music to life once more. "
