Description

I have performed for over 20yrs in various musical set ups. Solo with quality backing tracks as well as in several bands, Jazz Quartet performing swing tunes and lounge music. Duo with Paul Bloomfield performing easy listening and contemporary songs in local venues as well as private bookings

Biography

I have been singing now for over 20 years in various bands and set-ups. I have performed a variety of genres from Soft rock, Soul/Motown, Swing Jazz, Country, Show Tunes, and Pop.
I have been performing with Paul Bloomfield as part of Bloomfield Duo for two years and have run a Buskers' evening in a local pub/restuarant. We also work for the charity Music in Hospitals where we entertain audiences of all ages with special educational needs, those in care homes, hospices and hospitals. Other venues include independent care homes, restaurants, hotels, family pubs, weddings and other special c ... elebrations.
Paul is an experienced songwriter and teacher of music who has been involved in many different musical ventures. He is a qualified teacher, has an honours degree in Acoustic Engineering and has run a successful music school for 25 years. He has set up various gigging bands, namely Off The Cuff folk trio, Pidwidgeon, a pop music trio, as well as The Mad Hatters, a teenage originals band and The Snipes, an originals band. Paul is an accomplished player with a wonderful guitar technique and sings backing vocals.
We cover a wide range of songs from the 1930s to the present day and also perform our original material for those occasions that warrant it.

Bloomfield Duo, Elswick Care Home 27/2/17 This was a joyous concert with lots of interaction and great choice of repertoire including Rock n Roll to the present day that worked very well for the audience. You had taken the trouble to check who you would be performing to in advance and chosen a very appropriate set. You kept the concert moving along swiftly and there was time for banter with some of the audience who were obviously engaged in the performance. Including several medleys allowed you to include a lot of songs, so kept lots of moments of recognition coming. Using PA may not be appropriate in all settings but it worked well in this room, and perhaps, along with your dressed up appearance, helped give the sense of occasion. You learned everyone’s names which was impressive! Feedback from the audience and staff was very positive. Thank you for an entertaining afternoon. The Bloomfield Duo were simply excellent! Hired them to perform in a small marquee for my Mum's 75th Birthday. Despite the pouring rain and enduring the cold of the Northumbrian Summer, Paul and Dee did us proud. They put together a fantastic and varied set to take into account the different age groups and everyone loved it. They had us all singing and dancing too! Prior to the event they had asked me for any specific songs that my family would like and then performed them, brilliant!! They even learned a special song for my wife and I, very much appreciated and Christy Moore would be impressed! There banter and general chat with the audience was funny and got us all going. Every one of my family and guests commented how great they thought Paul and Dee were. The sound quality was perfect and Dee's signing and Paul's guitar playing were spot on! I would have no hesitation on booking them again. So why not book them, you'll love them. They are two wonderful people too! Thanks for making ...
