Biography

I’m a freelance guitarist, I have been playing guitar for 13 years. I began by studying classical guitar and then went over to Jazz guitar. I obtained a two year certificate which i completed in 2008 since then I’ve been a free-lance guitarist. I’ve played many shows and gigs. I've also done a bit of theatre work as a guitarist. Besides playing I also tutor.
I’m an extremely versatile guitarist, and am able to play many genre of music. I’m also able to sight read and can play by ear quite we'll.
In 2010 I took part in a theatre production called Shakespeare in Prison
It was ... a show for and with underprivileged youths who were being helped with education.
That same year I took part in another theatre production called the Pansa 48 hour show.
The show was funded by a nonprofit company called Pansa and it was an annual show each year.
In 2012 I played guitar for Amy Winehouse tribute band.
From the year 2012 until end 2015 i played solo guitar at a hotel in Cape Town called the Tudor Hotel. This was a every Friday gig.
The end of 2015 i took part in a production by a Pieter Dirk Uys called the Die Van Aardes Van Grootoor. It was a musical. Pieter Dirk Uys is a very successful South African Satrist, active performer, author and social activist.
Besides these shows and productions, I also play gigs with my trio which consists of Guitar Drums and Bass. I also have a duo Guitar and Saxophone. I've played many corporate shows and gigs with my Trio and Duo and also as a solo guitarist.
