Biography

Kari Dione has been mesmerizing audiences with her powerful yet soulful voice for over 2 decades. Her charismatic southern charm and bubbly yet down-to-earth personality has afforded her many opportunities on and off the stage. Kari most recently wrapped the first leg of the touring musical, The Voices of Donny Hathaway. She will return for the second leg early January 2024, doubling as CiCi and the iconic Roberta Flack. Her most recent theater credits include Bri (Virgil's Cafe), Linda (Into the stars), Ms. Maime (Jelly’s Last Jam), Porgy & Bess, and The Parchman Hour (Ostrander winner). In ... 2019, Kari was a featured performer with the Memphis Symphony Orchestra (Memphis Symphony under the Stars). She is a founding member of The Good Vibez Only Collective, a musical collaboration infusing r&b soul, hip hop, spoken word, and original music to tell stories that pay homage to an array of musical genres. Dione released her debut single "Do You" in November 2021 and is excited about the release of her self-titled album scheduled for release in 2024. This Birmingham native holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance from Alabama State University and is a decorated member of Sigma Alpha Iota Music Fraternity for Women with whom she celebrates over 15 years of philanthropic service.
