Biography

A native of Michigan, Justin Dean is a Las Vegas based singer of big band, swing, pop, high energy dance favorites, and the greatest hits from the 70's to today. Justin has been a lifelong fan of Frank Sinatra and big band era music since he first heard Bing Crosby sing “White Christmas” at 8 years old while sitting in front of the stereo during the holidays. This "Golden Era" of big bands, and the legendary personalities who popularized them, shaped his musical interests and always reminded him of the best times spent with family.
Growing up with a love for the big band sound, Justin' ... s style harkens back to the era of the classic "Crooner” when legends such as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Elvis Presley, and Bobby Darin were the stars of the times. Those were the days when a man stepped out for a night on the town in his best suit with a carefully knotted tie (loosened just so below the opened top button), sipped on a meticulously crafted cocktail made to his strict specifications, and entered a room with a lady on his arm (or he at least exited with one).
While having roots in the music and spirit made popular by Sinatra and The Rat Pack, Justin is also influenced by many modern artists such as Michael Buble, Bruno Mars, Maroon 5, Justin Timberlake, and The Weeknd...to name just a few. It is Justin's goal to take his audience on a musical journey...one that passes through Old Hollywood with well known standards from the iconic crooners of the 40's, 50's, & 60's and then continues on to a high energy party with dance favorites from the 70's, 80's, 90's, and 2000's up through today's biggest hits. From cocktails and dinner to the dance floor, the one thing everyone will remember is how much fun they had celebrating with Justin and his one-of-a kind band!
Since 2007, Justin has appeared on PBS television, been featured in Las Vegas, Detroit, and Atlanta hotels and lounges, and performed for many of the world’s largest corporations and their most important events. In 2015, after hearing Justin at the Italian American Club in Las Vegas, Steve Lawrence (of the renowned 50's singing duo Steve Lawrence & Eydie Gorme) said, “Hey, this kid’s good!”

Meet the Act

I grew up as a kid listening to bands such as Huey Lewis & The News and INXS but was always fascinated by the Big Band and Crooner sound since the first time, at 8 years old, that I remember hearing Tony Bennett and Bing Crosby Christmas albums around the stereo at home in Upper Michigan during the holidays with the snow falling outside. The love of this genre stuck with me until I was inspired to start singing from watching a concert on PBS television one night in 2006. This show sparked in me what I call a "musical epiphany" and I instantly knew that I wanted to spend the rest of my career a ... s a singer. It took fierce dedication and years of hard work but, fast forward to today and SwingBeat Entertainment now custom produces live music for corporate events, luxury private functions, and weddings nationwide. I'll never forget that night at home watching T.V. when I came across that PBS special that changed the direction of my life and ultimately led me to where I am today...using my passion for music to help people celebrate some of the most important moments in their lives.
