I am happy to sing anything you put in front of me - classical music, pop, musical theater, R&B, rock, you name it, I'll sing it. Meet the Act

It's hard to remember when exactly I started singing. When I was 2 years old, I would sit in my highchair and make up songs about my cat. Soon this transformed into watching musicals and pop stars on TV, imitating their every move and dreaming of getting up on a stage one day just like them. In middle and high school my love for singing grew deeper and deeper as I began joining the many choirs, talent shows and drama clubs that my school fortunately had to offer. It was then that I started taking regular voice lessons and my teacher encouraged me to pursue a degree in classical music. If I'm b ... eing honest? I didn't love the idea of it. My whole life I had been singing pop, rock, and musical theater - it just seemed so foreign and boring to me. But as time went on, I fell in love with art song and opera, and along the way I learned that as artists, there is no reason to pigeon hole ourselves into one genre, even if that is our main focus. While I did receive my degree in classical voice, I still regularly return to my first love of pop/rock and musical theatre, dabbling in as many genres as I can when I go to practice every day. I play the ukulele and have basic keyboard and guitar skills, striving to improve those skills every day so that I can accompany myself if necessary. I have a quick and strong memory and can learn any music you put in front of me in a matter of hours, making me suitable for last minute gigs.
