Judy Bowen will give your party a wonderful ambiance, whether you are having a wedding cocktail hour, elegant cocktail party or a casual party. With 30 years of performing experience and a vast repertoire, she plays hits from the 60's, 70's and 80's, as well as newer songs, standards and classical arrangements.
Judy has played solo piano at cocktail parties, corporate events, wedding receptions, private parties, country clubs, resorts, restaurants, piano bars and malls in Las Vegas, Hollywood, Atlanta, Florida, Utah, Chicago, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Iowa ... . Recent venues include the Loews Hotel (Awards Gala - Hollywood Blvd) in Hollywood, California; Bellagio Resort, Paris Casino/Hotel, Palazzo/Venetian Resort, Planet Hollywood Casino/Hotel, Rio Casino/Hotel, the World Market Center and private parties in Las Vegas; the John Hancock Center, Waldorf Astoria, Hilton Chicago, Palmer House, The Gwen, Peninsula Hotel, JW Marriott, Navy Pier, Union League Club and University Club in Chicago; JW Marriott in Indianapolis and the Georgian Terrace in Atlanta (where the premiere of "Gone With the Wind" was held in 1939) . She received her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees in piano from the University of Illinois, studying with Joel Shapiro. Her classical background has influenced her smooth, elegant and expressive style of playing. Judy was featured among 138 cocktail pianists in a new book about cocktail pianists, "The Cocktail Piano Companion" by James Spencer of California and she also published a classical piano reference book, "A Graded Guide to the Piano Literature" in 1991. All of our guests enjoyed the ambiance and the classical tunes she played during the cocktail hour. I most definitely would recommend her for the talented skills on the piano at any venue where entertaining is a must. She is a class act!
