Description

Jimmy and his team specialize in offering Vintage Era shows with Live Band and Dancers that take you back to a place and time. The shows are often multi-genre and there are several themes to choose from, including Route 66 Road Show, Vintage Vegas, and more. Jimmy's wife Lynn operates a vintage dance company and studio with over 15 years of experience booking talents for casinos, galas, country clubs, and holiday events. Together, the pair offer a full variety show complete with aerialists, go-go dancers, and giant props. The vibe is reminiscent of Supper Clubs and Nightclubs of the 1950s and ... 1960s.

Jimmy Dale is electrifying! He did a number of shows for my venue in Texas and brought down the house . Caring and kind, humble and quiet when you meet him…and then he comes alive on stage. Rockabilly, bluegrass, southern gospel are all delivered in a way that moves the audience (hearts and bottoms). He can do a solo and hold the audience or band to rock the house… but if you really want an ultimate experience, go full band and invite their dancers (period costumes from the era you want to capture) who can dance every step from the decades. Your event will be legendary.

So I happened upon Jimmy Dale by fate it seemed. Years ago I was in Austin for a car show and that night, saw him live, opening for another band at a little hole-in-the-wall venue. I was blown away by his amazingly strong vocals and authenticity. He's got a true and unique rockabilly/honky-tonk/rock-n-roll sound that's rare to find these days. Almost a time capsule of talent if you will. Years went by until I saw him again opening for the Reverend Horton Heat in Dallas. Just as amazing if not better then the first time. After that, I was sold and had to have him play an event we were putting on. I was able to contact him and had him locked down in no time. He's the real deal. Very professional, super kind and personable, and the sheer talent is just off the scale. I plan on having him for more events in the future. Would highly recommend!

Jimmy Dale and his band played our wedding and it was the most romantic and amazing time of our lives! Jimmy is by far one of the most compassionate down to earth human beings I have ever met. He is a strong father, husband, and a firm believer in Christ the Creator. His amazing rock and roll 50s vibe is on point and will make you feel like you have traveled back in time! His professionalism throughout the whole process of booking and performing on our special day was 5 star! His planning on the song we wanted played for our first dance and the set list did not disappoint! Jimmy’s soul is pure gold and his band will not disappoint you no matter what event you choose to have them for!

Experience

Jimmy and Lynn Richardson offer world-touring shows and operate a women's dance studio based in the historic Automobile Alley district of downtown Oklahoma City. The dance studio was established in 2009 and specializes in vintage, cabaret, and aerial art forms. Lynn has amassed a collection of several hundred costumes, vintage, and reproduction clothes over her years operating Oklahoma Showgirls entertainment company. Jimmy does woodworking, leather tooling, and general creative decorating. He makes leather tooled guitar binders and cow hide amp cases. Jimmy also does instrument repairs.

Previous Clients

Our team has provided talents for over ten years consecutively with Osage Casinos and Kickapoo Casinos. We have booked with Oklahoma Historical Society for the 20s, 40s, and 60s event themes. We have performed for OKC Ballet Ball as can-can dancers and for Oklahoma City Orchestra League's 1940s event, providing live band and dancers.

Meet the Act

Jimmy and I love to drive around looking at architecture and dropping into antique stores. I'll spend an hour looking at old yearbooks and he will patiently wait. We are always in the mood to go out for pho or sushi. The bank we go to is a series of atomic age flying saucers called "Bank of the Future" in OKC. There is a stunning gothic victorian church near us with a cemetary we like to drive through. We are nerdy about studying musicians, actors, and dancers of the past. When you get to know Jimmy, he's pretty comedic and has known and invented characters that he will act out. He also does ... some Michael Jackson and James Brown dancing! Jimmy can do impressions of people we know and their mannerisms, which is always fun. We're a lovey-dovey couple who are passionate about music that moves the soul.
