Description

I have performed as a solo Freddie Mercury tribute act for over 20 years, travelling the country and playing iconic music venues such as The Ferry in Glasgow and Scotland's biggest tribute venues, hotels and events. However, in March 2020, I decided to take the show to an entirely new level, with the backing of a full live band. I felt this was the ultimate direction to take for that authentic Queen sound, and the addition of outstanding and experienced musicians George (on guitar), Robert (on bass) Alan (on drums) and Sean (on keyboard) propelled the show to new heights.

Within months ... of launching the band, ‘LIVE FOREVER’ went on to secure and smash gigs at Glasgow’s Hard Rock Cafe, Slay, Ivory Black’s and most recently, headlining the Pink Flamingo stage at Rewind Festival Scotland and Rewind North in Cheshire in the summer of 2023.

Biography

I have been entertaining audiences throughout Scotland for 30 years including 20 years as Scotland's established Freddie Mercury tribute, and latterly with the band 'MacQueen - Scotland's tribute to Queen' who headlined Rewind Festival's 'Pink Flamingo' in Perth and Cheshire in 2023.
In 2017, I was part of a 5 piece vocal harmony group, SCOTSOUL, who reached the grand final of BBC1's prime time music show 'Pitch Battle', having sung live with soul legend Chaka Khan. I have also featured on a fly on the wall documentary for the BBC 'Viva Variety' which aired initially in 2014, and was repea ... ted in subsequent years.
At the end of lockdown, I trained as a TV presenter with London's prestigious training provider 'The Presenter Studio' before launching my own local TV channel in 2021 'Loch Lomond TV'.

Jim done a show in our club and he was top drawer. One of the best shows we have had. Jim himself was very friendly and happy to pose for pics. I would definitely recommend Jim for any place looking for a cabaret.

Best Performance of Freddie In Scotland..... I can't recommend Mr Jim Smart highly enough, his performance of Freddie Mercury sells out our venue every time we book him. The show is full of energy, Jim was born to perform, such a genuine guy, who really cares about every performance. Hopefully he is back in our hotel soon.

Book this act! We have regularly booked Jim in 3 to 4 times a year at our venue for a number of years and his show never disappoints. His Freddie Mercury show always does great business and Jim makes sure it's a great night with his fantastic vocals and audience participation. All I would say is if your looking for a great Freddie Mercury act then you don't need to look much further!
