What I offer is high quality vocal performance as an adaptable and experienced singer who is fun and easy going. I know what it takes to get to a professional level of musicianship, and for that reason, I only act with respect and sincerity towards my fellow band members/musical troupe. I am warm and personable with my audience while remaining professional in my work.
The genre's I offer as a singer is really anything except death metal and opera. A party trick of mine is performing Kate Bush's "Wuthering Heights" so... opera-ish.

Biography

Singer-songwriter Jamie Mac is a heartfelt storyteller from Fremantle, Western Australia. Her original music is a fusion of folk, jazz and rock, reminiscent of artists such as Joni Mitchell, Jeff Buckley and Fiona Apple. Her repertoire includes a vast collection of original compositions as well as an extensive body of cover songs spanning all genres ranging from the 50s until now. In the last decade, Jamie has studied contemporary music at Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and completed a songwriting degree at Sydney's JMC Academy. During this period, she released her debut EP ‘ ... Island in the City’. In 2023 she released her debut album, 'The Twisted Tales We Tell Ourselves'. Having left Australia this year to travel and experience the wider world, she is currently in Thailand collaborating, writing and performing with other travelling musicians. Experience

I have been singing professionally for 10 years now, (singing lessons began at 13 years old). I have sung in Jazz, Folk, Pop, Rock, Music Theatre and R&B collaborations. I have a 3 octave range from C3 to C6 and am very experienced in harmonies, having run my own choir for two years.
I have also been playing guitar, mainly rhythm guitar, for 10 years, playing and singing in my own original band, Jamie Mac Band, plus cover bands.
I also have basic dance skills in Jazz, Tap, Swing, Latin, Irish and Contemporary dance, as I have been involved in musical productions for 4 years in high school a ... nd since then, a few theatre productions scattered over the years.
I love to act and would so enjoy an opportunity to re-ignite a more theatrical aspect in performance again. Read More
