Biography

Inventioning bridges the world of Prog-rock and jazz with a variety of styles and influences. The original core of the band was the convergence of legendary artists Jon Anderson and Jean Luc Ponty with producer/session-guitarist Michael Lewis who was the connection that brought the two together. (Anderson and Ponty released a project and toured as the Anderson-Ponty band between 2014 and 2017.)
Inventioning has released several songs including “Walking Talking” featuring guest lead vocalist, Rock and Roll Hall of famer Jon Anderson, and “Onward,” a tribute to Chris Squire (bassist f ... or YES) which also features an elaborate music video filmed at lighthouses on the Oregon Coast.
October 2021 brought the release of Inventioning’s new single, “Some People.” The song is receiving rave reviews and was co-written by Jon Anderson and Michael Lewis who produced the work. It features Jon Anderson on lead vocals, along with lead vocals by Bridgette Lewis, Jean-Luc Ponty on Violin, Oliver Wakeman on Keyboards and the Grammy award winning rhythm section of Brian Fullen on drums and Adam Nitti on bass. Michael Lewis also performed guitars, additional synths, Hammond B3 and background vocals.

The Inventioning band is fronted by veteran performers Bridgette and Michael Lewis. Michael has performed thousands of shows across the US, Europe and Mexico. Bridgette Lewis has performed hundreds of shows for thousands of people. The band features a Grammy award winning rhythm section with multiple endorsements and signature lines of their respective instruments. Collectively the members have performed with artists such as Mary Wilson of the Supremes, Peter Frampton, Carrie Underwood, YES, Kenny Loggins, Keith Urban, Shania Twain, Michael McDonald and many others.
