Description
HKFT creates an improvised musical based on the audience suggestion of a title of a show never before seen. Then , we present the opening and closing night of that musical! Everyone knows the tunes, but the lyrics are completely made up. No band! No Piano! Just Karaoke tracks!
Popular songs that everyone knows, with new words, sung by New York's funniest musical improvisers!
We can also pick songs from your favorite artists and do a specialized show! All Elton John? No problem! A Christmas show? Done. Your uncle Harry is turning 90 and wants to hear Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy? We can do
... that!
Biography
HKFT started in Chicago when director Phillip Markle pitched this incredible original format. After fine tuning the show at the iconic Second City, Philip opened up his own branch of the windy city's Annoyance Theater in Brooklyn New York and took the show with him. Assembling a cast of musical comics whose impressive resume includes appearances on MTV and VH1, in national commercials, official corporate spokesmen, writers for sketch shows at the Upright Citizens Brigade, the Magnet Theater, The peoples Improv Theater and more, it is a show like no other.
Experience
HKFT recently had a run at an off Broadway Theater in NYC, and continues its monthly shows at the Annoyance Theater in Brooklyn.
