A native of Columbus, Ohio, Miller is a graduate of the Fort Hayes School Of The Performing Arts, and actually studied Radio & TV Pro ... duction before moving towards music production & engineering for TV & Film. Coming from a family that includes professional musicians and music teachers, Miller was always surrounded by a high level of music talent. After traveling the world in another capacity, Miller realized that his gift for music could not be denied. Miller always kept his music going all the while working with widely known musicians who would later go on to notoriety like Paula Cole, and Mindi Abair in their early years. Before moving to Southern California Miller was featured (uncredited) on a seminal 1991 Gino Vannelli CD called "Inconsolable Man" where Vannelli used Miller's 5 Octave range to craft the chorus and the bridge sections of his song "The Rhythm Of Romance" as well as 3 other songs on that project. After having to have the performance union AFTRA force Vannelli to pay him, he learned his first hard lesson about the often cruel music industry. Miller went on to sing on CD's by Cher, Lavern Baker and several TV shows. During the 90's Miller's songs was licensed for use in such network shows as "Family Matters" "Doogie Howser M.D." the short lived Glenn Fry TV show "South Of Sunset". Miller later worked in TV audio production and music retail which lead to more opportunities with major artists and producers. After going on to work with major TV & Film composer Hans Zimmer as a technician while representing TC Electronic, Miller was blessed to be able to fall under the mentorship of legendary multi-instrumentalist, bassist & composer Marcus Miller and served as his one of his "go to" studio technical consultants between 2000 and 2010, all the while also holding down a studio manager position running the private studio (Studio 9) of legendary TV Composer Mike Post. in 2005, while working with Marcus Miller, Gussie was asked to sing on the score for the TV show "Everybody Hates Chris" by Miller, and later in 2007 was also featured in a solo vocal spot in the Chris Rock movie "I Think I Love My Wife" performing the Marcus Miller composition "Could Be The One" which caused a stir online as people searched for the new song, that was in fact, only a short music cue. Also, around 2007, Miller with the help of longtime friend, master keyboardist and musical director Alessandro Alessandroni Jr. (Pink, Nellie Furtado, Babyface, XTina, Paul Stanley) urged Miller to pursue finishing his solo CD "Forever Plan". After a tumultuous divorce, custody battle, and becoming a single father, Miller pushed through and began the creation, but then because of a technical failure of his hard drives he lost ALL the song data. When the company decidedly stepped up and offered new drives and data restoration, Miller was able to continue the writing and production process. With the changing climate of the music industry and not able to garner a record label deal, Miller worked in TV production to earn the funds to record his live band in the summer of 2012 and cut the tracks for "Forever Plan' at Universal Music Publishing Group working with Motown recording veteran Ralph Sutton, and later with UMPG staff engineer and now co-producer Mike Fennel. The resulting CD caught the attention of the industry and put him on his current path as a solo artist paying homage to his musical idols Al Jarreau, Kenny Loggins, Stevie Wonder and Scritti Polliti.
