To put it simply - we just love playing music together! Even if its just for ourselves in our home, we love it! 40 years of marriage creates a unique bond between us that permeates our performances. We love to stir the memories of our audience - taking them back to a bygone day that gives them the warm fuzzies! With over 35 years experience in performing together, we can provide a feast of musical deliciousness for your event or venue – in styles including contemporary, classical, jazz and Latin. Our large repertoire will resonate with a wide range of guests from every generation. Our unique arrangements of well known tunes creates a fresh sound to the ears of your guests.
We have our own high quality equipment, with our own small PA system to suit the gig and venue.

Biography

Flute Salad consists of Kees Payens, (Trinity College of London - Classical Guitar) with over 40 years of performing experience in many genres of music (jazz bands, rock bands, musical theatre, duo and trio work). Joining him on flute is his wife Robyn Payens (Australian Music Examination Board - classical flute) who has performed in this duo for over 35 years.
Based in Mountain Creek, Sunshine Coast, Flute Salad has a long history of live performances, musical arrangements, and professional recording sessions. We pride ourselves on our technical abilities and musical versatility, break ... ing boundaries with our unique sound.

Thank you very much for entertaining our clients and volunteers with your wonderful renditions and for leading the singing of the Christmas songs. Hi Kees and Robyn, Thank you so much for the photos, that’s wonderful! We should have the official photos ready in the next few days so I will send a few to you. Your attendance was fantastic and it really made the day that much more special. When donors walked through those double doors and saw the set up and heard the music, I think we captured their hearts immediately. I can’t thank you enough for the role you played. Also, thanks for the personal Ed Sheeran song for me at the end – cherry on top! We really appreciate your support of the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS Queensland) and value what you bring to the organisation in more ways than one.

I had the pleasure of working with Flute Salad at a wedding at Albert River Wines & they were nothing short of amazing! They played a variety of music in between the ceremony & reception that got everyone bopping but the highlight for me was the skill & professionalism they showed during the ceremony. They timed everything perfectly & the sound was phenomenal. They are also lovely people! Highly recommended!! PS: Kees Payens comment - the groom looked just like Pavarotti!!
