Fiddlin' Mike Ferry performs a variety of traditional Irish, Scottish, and American fiddle tunes with a modern twist. Some examples include "Soldier's Joy," "Brian Boru's March," "Ducks on the Pond," "The Rocky Road to Dublin," "Moneymusk," "Cumberland Gap," and many more. He also sings many bluegrass, country, and Irish songs such as "I Saw The Light," "Will The Circle Be Unbroken," "Wayfaring Stranger," "Jambalaya," "The Fields of Athenry," and "Whiskey in the Jar."

Biography

Mike Ferry is an internationally-known fiddler, songwriter, author, and teacher who lives in the Richmond, VA area. He has performed both as a solo artist and as a member of classical, pop rock, alt-country, Irish traditional, and liturgical ensembles. His work has been featured in the Washington Post, Huffington Post, Christian Science Monitor, Newsmax, Good Morning America, Irish Music Magazine, Virginia This Morning (CBS 6), Richmond Times-Dispatch, Virginia Currents (WCVE), Spin Magazine, and radio shows and podcasts around the world. Some of his compositions have appeared in national t ... elevision programs including “Dawson’s Creek” and “The Real World.” As a performer, Mike has toured throughout the United States and has shared the stage and screen with artists such as Usher, Melissa Etheridge, Ellie Goulding, Edwin McCain, Patty LaBelle, Kevin Hart, Kenny Loggins, John Mayer, Sugarland, REO Speedwagon, Tenacious D, The Outfield, and more. Mike's latest album, “From Ulster To Appalachia," is a contemporary-sounding collection of Irish, Scottish, and American fiddle tunes. His previous release, “Virginia,” is an instrumental album dedicated to the history and natural beauty of Virginia.

Highly recommend Fiddlin' Mike Ferry! He was fantastic and so much fun! To have a fiddlin' band was a big change from our usual bands but it was a refreshing change! The community loved it! We will definitely have him out here again!

Mike played a recent Sofar Sounds show in Richmond, VA and was a huge hit! The audience cheered after each song, and we thoroughly enjoyed the sentiment and background story for each composition. If you have the chance to hire Mike for a performance, take it. He’s one of the most talented fiddle players I’ve heard!
