Description

My act is in costume, based on how Sir Elton John dresses on stage now rather than his more outlandish costumes and wigs. All sets are performed straight through without costume change. Aside from the first and last song, the rest of the set is chronological, thus taking the audience on a journey through a period of his prolific career. It is built of well known hits, with a combination of ballads and songs that facilitate and encourage audience participation. It also includes facts about some of the songs/albums and can either be performed solo or with a live band. For each show the piano is ... named after a member of the audience.

Biography

I have 30 years experience of performing in my own right, and over the years the comparison to Sir Elton John, even when I’m not playing or singing his material, has grown more prevalent over that time. My Elton act has progressed and developed over the last 5 years, with close attention to detail as well as advice from people who are successful in the industry.

Elton Guy is a carefully and delicately delivered tribute to Sir Elton John, with key attention to detail and again, a show delivered with a lovely flow and consistency. In short Guy Stoker is a remarkable talent and for me, the single most important cog in the entertainment wheel of the discovery 2. His work seamlessly links together the other members of a very good team. On a separate note, when Guy wasn't performing his guest interaction was noticeable. Always smiling, particularly polite and with time aplenty for the very proud guests to share their stories with him.

In my time at sea I have witnessed many tributes to the greatest artists of all time. Guy’s tribute to Elton John is of the one of the most likeness to the artist I have ever witnessed. Guy has a talent for not only perfectly mimicking Elton John’s voice but he has taken on board production, costume, as well as drama, theatre, and mimic of his mannerisms. The show truly is a triumph.

I watched the Elton Guy Show whilst booked as a comedian on a Cruise. The work that has gone into this show is immense. From the look, to the mannerisms and the voice, it is clear this show has done it's homework. Added to that the fact that the piano playing is live, this is more than a tribute....if you are a fan of Elton, you will love this show. He had the ships passengers rocking!
