Description

Dixie is performer trained from a young age and has been doing drag for over 7 years. Her dedication, commitment and performance shines when she sings LIVE to a vast range of music genres including musical theatre, pop and even some ballads!!! Dixie already hosts six residencies for brunches, quiz and bingo nights, birthday parties, hen do's and weddings, so is used to lots of banter with guests and ensuring that the event runs smoothly, with everyone having a good time!

Biography

Dixie has trained in performing arts for over 20 years and began training from the age of 6. She trained and graduated from The Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts (PQA) and continued studying at many theatre schools across Dorset in Dance, Acting & Singing including The Big Little Theatre Company, Stagewise School of Performing Arts, SJ Dance Studios and Fusion to name but a few. More recently she has also worked at the prestigious luxury Hoburne Holidays Brand as; Vocalist, Dancer & Entertainer.
Conor has taken part in many pantomimes across 15 years locally and nationally and has ... professionally worked alongside Ed Stewart, Jamie Quinn, Sue Pollard, Debra Stephenson, Nicki Stephens, Ray Quinn, Chris Ellison to name a few.
In 2008, she successfully auditioned for ‘West End at Home’ a West End mini tour production where he worked alongside West End Legends, Earl Carpenter, Jenna Lee James, and Amanda Holden.

Currently Dixie holds the reign for Euro Drag Competition as Wales/England Heat Winner and has helped raise over £20,000 for various charities (Cancer Research, Macmillan Cancer Support, Terrance Higgins Funds, Mind Mental Health, Helping Hands Portsmouth & The Space Youth Project LGBTQ)
In addition to this, Dixie has a large client base including; NHS, BCP Council, Salisbury City Council. Winchester Hospice, BBC Radio Wiltshire & International Bournemouth University.
Dixie comes self contained with her own PA Equipment including Sound System and multiple microphones, holds Public Liability Insurance and is DBS Checked.

Well hello my darlings, I'm Dixie Normous, and yes that is true! I absolutely love my job entertaining brides-to-be to a surprise birthday celebration and everything in between.
I started drag just over 7 years ago in my home town - Sunny Sunny Bournemouth! Since the moment I shook my first wig which was purchased from Ebay and put on my dress from Primark I knew this was for the making. Over the years as well as developing my performance, I have now upgraded the look which once looked like I was a camouflage model for the Army!
