Biography

A native of Auburn, AL, Desmond grew up drenched in Gospel, Blues, R&B, and Soul music. As a serene and very observant child, he began singing in his father’s church at two years old. By age six he was playing piano and organ, and by ten he was on to the drum set. Desmond is a graduate of Berklee College of Music where he currently works a teaching assistant; he has been working with SaveOurSelves Productions for three years as an artist all under the tutelage of Lawrence “Larry” Watson. He has performed for/with the Supreme Court Justice, The Little Rock Nine, Sybrina Fulton (Trayvon Ma ... rtin’s mother), Harvard University, the NAACP, Berry Gordy (founder of Motown), Valerie Simpson, Nona Hendryx, Harry Belafonte, Mark Wahlberg, and was a top 50 finalists on the 2014 Season of American Idol.
