One man act . Can perform acoustic vocal-guitar set or guitar-vocal-backing track set. Sings covers of english pop, rock, country and Celtic style party tunes. Very lively on stage with banter and personality. Has one original album from 2015 which received national airplay in Canada. Multiple top comment card earner.

Biography

Dave McHugh, from Newfoundland and Labrador in eastern Canada, has been performing full time for over 30 years, primarily in the club, festival and corporate circuits in Canada. He has recently been getting some work in the Caribbean with charter tours in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Performing a variety of English pop , rock and country favourites along with some lively Celtic tunes for good measure. Dave's shows are entertaining and lively. His forte is his ability to interact with a crowd and make sure that everyone leaves with tired feet and smile on their face.

Just saw Dave on a Panama Canal cruise and he is outstanding! Talented, entertaining, funny and very personable. Dave had the largest crowds of all the entertainers on the ship. Was hoping to sing a song with him. Great guitarist!! Crowd pleaser. Hope I have another opportunity to catch his show

Meet the Act

I have performed exclusively as a singer, musician my whole life. Started in the 80s with a big hair band called Illusion. A lot of my work from the 90s onward was as a solo act, with various shows as a full band. I did my first cruise contract in 2019 and it went amazingly well . I also did theatre shows on the last ship with the orchestra. I love to make people smile . I do this with music but I am also aware that interaction is equally important .
