I am a highly experienced solo entertainer who's services include:
Singing and playing hundreds of crowd-pleasing favorites for small or large groups of people. I regularly do a 3-hour non-stop show, gradually getting the crowd engaged in an audience-participation style evening, turning up the energy at an exponential rate as the night progresses. A versatile act, I can please a large crowd with varying tastes in musical genres, take requests and impress audiences by creating music, "on the fly".

Biography

In his late teens, Dave came to a fork in his multi-optioned career path. Having been training with Toronto’s York University Gymnastics team and given the opportunity to try out for the Canadian Olympic Squad, he was also very successful singing and playing piano on stage at several local bars. He chose to prioritize music and entertainment, and while living in Australia, he honed his solo skills and also formed the band, Dave Bootle & the Producers, a tight aggregation of competent musicians performing Dave’s Aussie-written originals. Among those is a track entitled Australia, which his ... critics and fans agree could be a tourism anthem.
Two years into his Australian experience, Dave was asked to audition for a singing/dancing role in the stage production of “Rock around the Clock”. He landed the lead role of Donny Doo and later found himself hired as Vocal Captain, now being responsible for the maintenance of the cast’s vocal wellbeing and tight harmonies.
After four years down under, Dave returned to Canada and took on music full time. While perfecting his professional repertoire in Southern Ontario, where he quickly became known for his big sound and energetic antics on stage, he also ventured to write and produce his first album of original tracks. The result was the title track, I’m In Trouble, along with an eclectic collection of Pop material that showcases Dave’s versatility as a writer, vocalist, musician and producer. In the same year, Dave gave a charitable performance for the annual Terry Fox Run. The outdoor venue was packed with an estimated 10,000 people participating in the festivities and the run for Cancer. This was followed by several months of club dates all over Southern Ontario, promoting his album.
Dave was spotted and recruited by a bar owner from Bermuda and was invited to take his by then, refined act to the island. His popularity was such that he was invited to stay on as House Entertainer at The Cock & Feather Bar before becoming the headline act at King Henry VIII Pub and Restaurant. Visitors and fans would return every night, year after year, during their Bermuda vacations and many have continued to do so still, following him to Key West. For more than ten years he has continued to delight international audiences, four nights each week on the Mangoes Restaurant Patio. Dave also travels to all corners of the globe on private invitations.
Dave Bootle possesses a killer comic presence, and a versatile, rangy and appealing voice. His big sound is meticulously crafted by Dave, personally. His amazing background sequences are envied by his peers, and greatly appreciated by his audiences. These are just some of the reasons for his enduring popularity.

My husband and I got "stuck" in Key West last week - our flight home to DC was canceled because of the freezing cold. My favorite evening out was when we listened to Dave after the drag show. I am not a late-night person, but as soon as we stepped downstairs, we had to stay to sing along to one of your songs. Then one more. And another. I told my husband, “This is like the best party I've been to - with a bunch of strangers!" Everyone was so friendly, and you were so entertaining. Some people say their kayaking or snorkeling trip or the seaplane to Dry Tortugas was the highlight of their trip to Key West. MY highlight was singing and dancing along to Dave Bootle!! Thank you so much for the fun time!
