Courus' band plays various styles of music with versatility stretching from African sounds to top 40 uptempo tunes.
Courus writes and performs her original songs and also loves performing Jazz Standards, Neo soul, Soul and RnB.
They cover a wide variety of repertoire that ranges from 80's Soul & RnB era covering artists like Aretha Franklin, Anita Baker & Whitney Houston to doing Too 40 charts and covering artists like Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa, Beyonce, Rihanna among many others.
Courus is proudly South African and they love doing popular South African tunes from Brenda Fassie's Weekend ... Special to Lady Zamar's Collide.
Courus has performed alongside artists like Zahara, Vusi Nova, PJ Powers, Early B, Phinda Mtya.
She also sung backing vocals for Lira, Judith Sepuma and Liesl Graham at the "Diva's in Spring" concert at Victoria Park PE.
In 2021 she won the Huawei 947 Joburg day competition and got a chance to perform alongside Jesse Clegg, DJ Zinhle, Micasa & Black Motion.
Then the year 2021 ended with her opening a Jazz Extravaganza Concert for Judith Sephuma at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Eastern Cape. Then in 2023 she was booked as the headliner act for the PicknPay Wine and Food Festival.

Biography

Singer and story teller through melodies and harmonies.
Courus moved from the small town Uitenhage to the big city Johannesburg in June 2018 with dreams of taking her craft and artistry to the next level.
She sings various styles of music and is passionate about Neo soul & Jazz. Courus’ sound is a fusion of genres from Neo soul to Hip Hop to Contemporary Jazz to Soul and RnB - a blend of all her favorite genres.
Highlights of her career to date are winning the 947 Huawei Joburg day competition and performing on one of South Africa's biggest stages. In November 2021 she was a supp ... orting act at the Jazz Extravaganza where Judith Sephuma was the headliner. At various festivals she opened for artists like Vusi Nova, Zahara, the late Thami Shobede. She sang background vocals for the Twotone Orchestra for Lira & Judith Sephuma at the Divas in Spring concert in 2016 and sees the release of her debut EP, “I'm Up” (2020) as a milestone in her career.
Her goal is to get her music aired globally and to get her message out into the world. Her sound is something different. It is healing, relatable and would make a great contribution towards the music industry.
Courus strives to create and bring back or re-erect timeless music whilst fusing it with relevance sonically.

Courus is A M A Z I N G!!! They performed at my big wedding day and they could not have made my day any more perfect.... The singing and the background playing was everything 💕 I did not give much instruction and yet they exceeded my expectations and our guests at the venue were very impressed. Some even thought that it was a CD that was playing until they realized it was the band that played the WHOLE day... I can't stop fussing about this band and they can play anything you wish them to... Thank you Courus for making my day special 🌼🌸🧡 I'd use you over and over again!! 💛
