Whether you would like a beautiful Bach sonata to accompany you as you walk down the aisle, or a flavour of fiery flamenco for your Spanish-themed party, our virtuoso Classical / Spanish Guitarists can bring your event to life with a skilled and passionate performance.
Unlike electric guitars, which use steel strings, Classical guitars have nylon strings, giving them a warm and gentle sound, ideal for intimate events, drinks receptions and wedding ceremonies.
Classical Guitarists can, of course, play classical music from any era, including Baroque, Romantic and modern classical pieces. However, they can also perform gorgeous arrangements of contemporary music across all genres, including rock, soul, jazz, film music and current pop hits.
Spanish guitars are very similar to classical guitars, although they tend to have a brighter tone, well-suited to the vibrancy and energy of flamenco music. With a Spanish Guitarist you can expect intricate finger-picking and fast-paced strumming, bringing an exciting mediterranean feel to you event.
Here we take you through the kinds of event that suit this kind of guitarist. IS A CLASSICAL / SPANISH GUITARIST RIGHT FOR MY EVENT?
Demonstrating impressive technique without being overpowering, Guitarists are particularly well suited to more intimate occasions, where they provide a warm and sophisticated ambience. They are ideal for sit-down dinners, hospitality events and ambient music in restaurants and hotel lobbies.
Parties
For cocktail parties, drinks receptions and after-dinner entertainment, a bit of smooth jazz makes the perfect background music. Glasses will be clinking and guests can mingle while cool, jazz classics from the 1940s to the present day, including Frank Sinatra, Gershwin and Thelonious Monk, fill the room with a warm and sophisticated ambience.
If you’re planning a birthday party or anniversary celebration, you can hire a classical guitarist to play covers of your favourite hits. Our versatile instrumentalists can perform music from a huge range of popular artists, from The Beatles, Elton John and Stevie Wonder, to Ed Sheeran, George Ezra and Adele.
Serving up some Spanish-style entertainment? Our Spanish guitarists will get your feet stomping with that unmistakable Flamenco fingerpicking and dramatic strumming. This is sure to bring a flavour of the Mediterranean to your party. As well as traditional Flamenco, you can expect contemporary Spanish and Latin American music from well-known bands such as Buena Vista Social Club.
Weddings
If you choose to hire a musician near you for your wedding, a Classical Guitarist will delight guests, performing delicate renditions of pieces such as ‘Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring’ by Bach, 'Here Comes the Bride' by Wagner and Pachelbel's ‘Canon in D’, as your guests arrive and throughout the ceremony.
At your wedding breakfast or drinks reception, they can play calming classical or folk music, gentle ballads, jazz or arrangements of popular hits or show tunes. If you’re going for a Spanish theme, you can hire a Spanish Guitarist to play some show-stopping Flamenco. Whichever style of music you choose, our talented Guitarists can fill your venue with heart-lifting music.
Our musicians will be happy to work with you to create a selection that is right for you on your special day, and will accommodate special requests if they can. Just make sure you give them a few weeks to prepare any pieces they might need to learn.

A Classical Guitarist is a great option if you’re looking for something a bit different for your annual meeting or fundraising event. They are so versatile, they can easily adapt their set list to fit perfectly with your event. You can opt for classical, world guitar styles, or arrangements of the latest pop music by chart-topping bands. To warm the atmosphere with a flavour of the Mediterranean, you can opt for exotic flamenco, latin or jazz.
These virtuoso musicians are dynamic enough to be up front and centre stage, or to blend into the background at a drinks reception, VIP event or sit-down dinner. Either way, they will spark people’s interest and get them talking.
Promotional Events
A great way to attract attention at an exhibition, trade show, restaurant promotion or product launch is to hire a Classical / Spanish Guitarist. People will gravitate towards the music and will want to stick around to enjoy special arrangements of classical pieces, jazz favourites, classic hits and current chart-toppers.
Your hired Classical Guitarist can tailor their set list to fit perfectly with your product or brand, and can even wear a T-shirt or hat with your company logo. A live guitarist will not fail to warm the crowd and make you stick in people’s minds.
HOW MUCH WILL A GUITARIST COST TO HIRE?
Prices vary depending on the individual musician, the type of event you’re hiring them for and the distance they have to travel to your venue. A top level guitarist travelling two hundred miles to play at a big wedding or corporate event will charge more than a musician in your local area playing for an hour at a small gathering.
For a standard engagement, you can expect to pay £150 - £400 in the UK ($150 - $400 in the U.S. and €170 - €460 in Europe). Musicians may charge more at times of high demand such as Christmas and New Year and fees for high-profile performers will be at the top end of this range, or higher.
For an idea of the cost of hiring a musician near you, we recommend contacting any of our members for a free, no-obligation quote.
HOW LONG WITH THEY PERFORM FOR?
Standard sets for Classical / Spanish Guitarists are typically 2 x 45 minute sets, with a short break in between sets. If required, they can play for longer or shorter periods. The best thing to do is to let your guitarist know what your requirements are when you book. That way they can adjust their quote if necessary.
WHAT SET UP REQUIREMENTS ARE THERE?
Most classical guitarists provide their own microphones and PA system. If in doubt, check with your performer. They usually perform seated and will need an area of about 2m x 2m, plus room for a music stand, microphone stand and PA. If they are using a PA system, they will also need a couple of 13 amp power sockets.
It usually takes 30 - 45 minutes for your guitarist to set up, and 15 - 20 minutes to pack down. Ideally, they will be able to park close to the venue.
