This is a beautifully intimate duo that is made up of Brittany Dilkes on piano and vocals and Brydon Bolton on acoustic double bass. Our repertoire includes easy listening jazz standards from Diana Krall to blues heads, a mix of instrumental only, as well as with vocals. We also perform requested popular covers. The combination of soulful vocals and a warm double bass suits many occasions from a smokey jazz lounge, to wedding receptions, to corporate functions.

Biography

BIOGRAPHY OF BRITTANY DILKES AND BRYDON BOLTON
Brittany Dilkes is a young, multifaceted musician. In 2013 she graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Jazz studies at the University of Cape Town, South Africa, majoring in Jazz voice. Through school, during her studies, and up until now, she has performed around Cape Town in a duo, trio and quartet setup. But she performs predominantly as a jazz duo with double bassist Brydon Bolton. She began performing as a piano vocalist for Silversea Cruises in 2023.
As well as being a bassist, Brydon is a composer and producer. Brittany’s album W ... alking in a Storm was completed under the production management of Brydon. The album, released last year, showcases her unique vocal, songwriting and piano talents.
Brydon started playing double bass in a small industrial coastal town called Port Elizabeth. (Along the eastern coast of South Africa). He learnt classical technique at an academy from a Yugoslavian cellist and jazz improvisation from the jazz players in the black and coloured townships surrounding Port Elizabeth. He has performed and traveled frequently, having played at the North Sea jazz festival, the cape town jazz festival, the Guiness Jazz Fest, the arts Festival in Galway , Hong Kong and Perth.
Together as a jazz duo, Brittany and Brydon a mix of jazz, pop and original material.
