A vintage vocal duo with a fresh take on cabaret.
Description
Barrett and Bruce take a fresh approach to cabaret combining Jazz and Swing with their own brand of quirky humour and a few surprises along the way. Their speciality is a Golden Age vintage set with a nod to the music of the Andrews sisters, through Ella Fitzgerald and the first ladies of Jazz, to Judy Garland and some Ratpack classics thrown in for good measure. They also take great pleasure in taking current pop music and Jazzifying it with the Post modern Jukebox treatment.

Biography
Gemma Barrett (the short one) studied Acting at Mountview and spent five years as a professional actor before deciding it was high time to get a sensible job. An experienced entertainments manager and compere in her own right, she has a passion for comedy and can fit her entire fist in her mouth. And her foot most of the time too.
Katie Bruce (the long one) originally hails from Worcester. Having completed her training in Musical Theatre at the University of Cumbria, career highlights include performing in the West End production of 'Les Mis' and on tour with 'Annie'. She tries not to d

Gemma and Katie met whilst performing at the Atlantica Golden Beach, Cyprus for Thomson Gold under Live Business, where they earned the Thomson award for Best Entertainment Team worldwide 2015 (is that the sound of someone blowing their own trumpet... it might be) After living in each other's pockets for 9 months they hadn't had quite enough of each other.
