Biography

Alexzandria Turley, from Moody, Texas, is graduating from Texas State University with a BFA in Dance with an emphasis in Performance and Choreography. She began dancing at the age of three and competing at age five with Unity Dance and Ignite Dance Company in styles such as ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, and modern.
Since arriving at Texas State University, she has performed in multiple BFA Thesis shows such as Distorted Reality and The State of Human Affairs and has choreographed and performed in student showcases such as Kaleidoscope and Belonging. Outside of Texas State, Turley w ... as part of a promotional flashmob at SXSW for Lizzo’s show Watch Out for the Big Grrrls.
Alexzandria was a member of Merge Dance Company, a faculty-led pre-professional modern company and Summerge, a Merge Dance Company month long intensive with an outdoor performance. Through these company experiences, as well as the experiences mentioned above, she has worked with a variety of choreographers from across the globe such as Ana Baer, Torens Johnson, Christa Oliver, Francisco Graciano, Rocio Luna, Lezley Meyer, Michelle Nance, and Chawnta’ Marie . Currently, Turley is a choreographer for Ignite Dance Company in Waco, Tx where she choreographs jazz, lyrical, and contemporary solos for competition dancers.

Experience

Alexzandria Turley has been training for 17 years. From 2011 to 2020 she danced and competed with Ignite Dance Company. From 2020 to 2022 she attended Texas State University as a dance major with an emphasis in performance and choreography. She has been a member of Merge dance company, a pre-professional modern company. She has also done outside dance work for Lizzo and NCAA.
